Forest Edge, Oakmere
Our latest planning approval is for a replacement dwelling in Oakmere, Cheshire West and Chester. An existing sandstone cottage will be replaced by a four bedroom detached house set in its own grounds. Close liaison with the local planning authority enabled us to justify the increase in floor area of 210% and an increase in ridge height by over a meter. We were able to keep the existing outbuildings on the site and create a dwelling that was in line with our clients brief. This increase of 210% in the open countryside is substantially greater than normally permitted and enabled us to design a house that is more suitable for the clients requirements. The house design has a traditional frontage in keeping with the street scene with a contemporary rear with a south facing aspect and woodland views.
