Approval at Appeal for A New Dwelling
We have won an appeal against Halton Borough Council's refusal to grant planning permission on a site in Daresbury, Cheshire.
The proposal was for demolition of an existing stable block and replacement with a new, contemporary dwelling.
As the site was deemed previously developed land, the planning Inspector agreed that there would be no greater impact on the green belt as the proposed dwelling had been carefully designed to have the same footprint and volume as the stable block.
The site is located within the Daresbury Conservation Area and within an area of Special Landscape Value. The Planning Inspectorate were in favour of the existing derelict stable being demolished and replaced with a modern dwelling designed by Jay Ashall Partnership which would positively enhance the appearance of the Conservation Area.
The Planning Inspector also agreed that the scheme would have limited impact on trees and highway safety against the comments of the Local Planning Authority.
