We obtained planning approval for the demolition of a redundant petrol station and the construction of 4 detached houses in Mere, Cheshire. The design layout and size were dictated by the mass and siting of the existing buildings and the rural character of the site. The houses were designed in a courtyard development and of a rural style and character appropriate to their surroundings. Following planning permission being granted, we were appointed to complete the technical drawings for the site and discharge the pre-start planning conditions.
Due to the nature of the previous site use, in depth ground contamination surveys and remedial work were required to ensure the site was suitable for residential use.
