Bath Mill was purchased by our client as a listed building on the outskirts of Mansfield. Planning consent was obtained to restore the listed building but the local authority informed us that the building was unsafe and beyond repair and was subsequently part demolished by the local planning authority, leaving only small sections of the original structure standing. Planning consent was then obtained to construct the building.
Photographic evidence of the original buildings were used as a guide to inform the new design. Artistic impressions were completed to present to the Council and Environmental Health. The main aims were to retain the character of the buildings on the river whilst providing new residential accommodation.
