Park Mill on Mill Lane, Brereton was constructed around 1840 as a corn mill, but ceased operating in the early part of the twentieth century. It lay empty for approximately 75 years until 2004 when instructions were received to restore the building and convert it to two dwellings. The building was Grade II Listed and still maintained many of the original mill machinery, equipment and water wheel. The project involved the full restoration of the machinery back to its original condition incorporating it into the design of the house. The mill wheels were brought back into working order by a specialist contractor. The mechanics became a unique feature of the properties and were displayed behind a glass facade.
