Knutsford Academy is part of the Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust. We were appointed by them in 2023 to expand the dining room to elevate time pressure of extended lunch periods. Proposals were completed under permitted development rights under the GDPO and not subject to full planning permission.

The proposed extension was to the western side of the building and onto a disused part of the site. The scheme was developed to create a contemporary expansion of the dining room with plenty of natural light and also create an external space partially under canopy to provide further dining.

The contemporary brick used was proposed to complement the existing brickwork whilst providing a modern twist to the design.
